QIGONG SERIES
As we transition into Fall join Darlene for this four part special class series learning the ancient art of mindful movement known as Qigong.
Qi pronounced (chee) means ‘life force energy’, Gong (gahng) means ‘to cultivate’. When practicing Qigong you are cultivating and increasing your life force energy.
Qigong is often described as the Grandmother of TaiChi and is known to be much easier to follow than TaiChi.
Qigong is a moving meditation practice, using gentle easy flowing movements that are easy to learn and applicable to any fitness level and all body types.
Qigong helps you clear away emotional stresses, and promotes harmony within and a more harmonious relationship with the nature around us. Practicing QiGong regularly will enhance health and vitality from the inside out. It has been used for over 4,000 years for health maintenance and illness prevention, Qigong gives you the skills and resources to treat issues such as fatigue, pain, depression, insomnia and more.

What to expect in a 1 hour session:
45 mins of a standing movement practice that includes
Spinal warm ups
Gentle stretching
Flowing Qigong movements
Breathwork
A short closing meditation
