Carrie has been a fitness enthusiast her entire life.  Throughout her adolescent and teen years she was a competitive swimmer and diver, and today maintains an active, healthy lifestyle.  In addition to a wide range of fitness classes and strength training, Carrie enjoys outdoor activities such as paddle boarding, hiking, biking and triathlons.  As a happy mother of 2 small children, Carrie recognizes the challenges of balancing work, family and keeping fit.  She specializes in high energy, high intensity workouts while keeping things fun, exciting and motivating.  Carrie’s passion is to help clients of all ages and fitness levels get in shape, feel great, possess more strength and confidence and learn to achieve individual fitness goals.

Carrie has a B.S. in Marketing from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. She has completed the suspension training course at TRX headquarters San Francisco and holds a current certification from the American Council of Exercise (ACE) as a personal trainer.

 

BRITTANY CARDUCCIBritt

Master Trainer

Brittany has been passionate about fitness since she was a toddler. She grew up in the gym watching her dad coach and she started playing multiple sports from early childhood.  She went on to play collegiate basketball at Point Loma Nazarene University from 2000-2004, where she also became an avid runner and participated in a masters swim program for two years. She graduated with a degree in managerial and organizational communication in 2004.

Throughout her 20’s she has competed in several half marathons, a full marathon, adventure races/events, multiple trips up Half Dome in Yosemite and most recently, has started to compete in Novice and Intermediate CrossFit competitions. She loves pushing herself and seeing how far the human body can go. Her passion for fitness and wellness has translated into being able to help others in the personal training arena. She believes that with goal setting, accountability and hard work, anyone can achieve anything.

She has obtained a Personal Trainer certification from ACE (American Council Exercise), is Spin certified and is currently working on her NASM Personal trainer certification. She believes that in order to be good at what she does, she must take the time to invest in getting to know her clients in order to best cater to their specific needs. She wakes up every day excited to be able to make a living doing what she loves.  In addition to fitness she loves to travel, explore new places, cook and spend time with her family and friends.

 

Andraya

ANDRAYA FETZER

Certified Personal Trainer

Andraya grew up in Napa Valley attending both grade and high school here. After leaving for a brief time, her love for Napa drew her back to raiser her 3 year old daughter. Health and fitness has always played an important role in Andraya’s life, from adolescence, when she was a competitive gymnast and ballet dancer, to her college years as a volleyball player. Today Andraya enjoys spending time in the gym, running, hiking and snow skiing.

Andraya has a passion for fitness competitions and competed in the 2010 NPC San Diego Bikini Championships. Andraya specializes in strength, circuit, core, balance and flexibility, competition, and high intensity styles of training.

Andraya has a B.A. in Psychology from Sonoma Statue University and a J.D. from McGeorge School of Law. Andraya became certified as a Personal Trainer in 2010 through NASM. She’s also certified through NASM as a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) and Fitness Nutrition Specialist (FNS). She further holds a qualification for TRX Suspension Training.

ASHLEY MARTINS

Certified Personal Trainer

Ashley’s passion for fitness began in high school when she started attending a gym regularly with her father. Always being more of a student than an athlete, Ashley thrived in the gym. Her father began teaching her proper weightlifting techniques and exercise quickly became a huge part of her life.

After high school, she attended Sacramento State and graduated with a B.A. in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Human Development. During her last year in college, Ashley was introduced to distance running. She began training herself and successfully completed the Nike Women’s Half Marathon in San Francisco. She now loves to run outdoors and enjoys anything that allows her to take in the beautiful views of the bay area.

Ashley is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She loves to keep exercise fun and enjoys working with clients of all ages and fitness levels.

 

 

BRENNA MORMAN

 Certified Personal Trainer / Food Scientist

Over a decade in competitive club soccer and rock climbing were the start of Brenna’s fitness and health journey. After two ACL reconstruction surgeries, she cycled when other forms of exercise were not a comfortable option and now has a passion for that. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in clinical nutrition and a Master’s in food science/nutrition alongside her ACE personal training certificate. She brings four years of professional experience working in the food/nutrition industry as a Food Scientist to both her personal training and
Lift Bar.

Nowadays, she is cultivating her love for fitness through personal training (and living room workouts while her toddler naps). She enjoys being active in a variety of ways and settings: in the gym, in bootcamp classes, hiking, or playing disc golf with her family. She has an empathetic understanding of limitations, having overcome multiple knee surgeries, but brings positivity and inspiration through her ability to innovate new exercises and find interesting, functional ways to get back on your feet.

Beyond exercise and being Lift Bar’s staff Food Scientist, Brenna can be found completing DIY projects around her house, sewing, baking or gardening. Say hello next time you see her at the Lift Bar and ask about the nutritional information of our Lift Bar menu items!

 

 

 

Mary Anne Schaffer, Master TrainerMARY ANNE SCHAFFER

Master Trainer/ B.S. Kinesiology

Mary Anne is HealthQuest’s Fitness Director. She is a Sonoma State University graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and a concentration in Lifetime Fitness. She holds a personal training certification from the American Council on Exercise. Along with a strong interest in health and fitness she has a passion for teaching dance. She started dancing at a very young age and became a Head Instructor for the National Dance Alliance teaching at dance camps across the country for 7 years. Mary Anne is a dance teacher at a local studio in Napa and has helped coach competitive dance teams in the area as well.

As a trainer she has worked with clients of all ages and fitness levels. Mary Anne enjoys fitness programming and has led several successful weight loss programs at HealthQuest as well as helped in training the firefighters of Napa by expanding their daily fitness routines. She loves teaching many classes at HealthQuest including Baila Beats, Core Fusion, Power Sculpt, One Hour Stretch, Boot Camp, Fit Ball, Step, Power Circuit, Extreme Barre and more!

 

DEAN SEAGO

Master Trainer

Dean has been a personal trainer at HealthQuest since 2012. He’s done a large amount of athletic activities ranging from martial arts and 13+ mile Spartan races to competitive bodybuilding and powerlifting. He enjoys pushing himself and others to meet their goals, whether that may be lift more weight, lose fat, or recover from an injury, he has the knowledge and expertise to help clients succeed.

Dean is certified from the IFPA and holds additional certifications such as strength training specialist and resistance band specialist. He has a passion for business and is currently going to school pursuing his degree and possibly an MBA later down the line.

During leisure time he’s been known to partake in online gaming where he boasts an impressive kill/death ratio of at least 2.0 in a smorgasbord of games. When he’s not gaming you may find him riding his motorcycle, scuba diving, traveling or enjoying many other outdoor activities.

He’ll have you lifting things up,  putting them down and feeling good doing it!

JULIANNA THOM

Certified Personal Trainer

Julie’s active lifestyle began with youth sports and took off when she realized the importance of regular exercise after becoming a HealthQuest employee. She is passionate about helping others reach their goals and loves every minute of her “job”. Her first training experience was as a weight training coach with the girls and boys basketball team at Vintage High School. From there she went on to coach at multiple gyms and schools including Cal Maritime and teaching weight training classes at Washington State University. During her time in Washington she also coached CrossFit classes and competed in numerous competitions.

Julie is a certified personal trainer with the American Council on Exercise (ACE), as well as CrossFit-Level 1 and USA Weightlifting-Level 1 certifications. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Women’s & Gender studies from Sonoma State University and is currently finishing up a Masters Degree in Sport & Athletic Administration from Gonzaga University.

 

Sonja Waterworth, Master Trainer

SONJA WATERWORTH

Master Trainer

An avid sports and exercise enthusiast, Sonja has been involved in the fitness industry for over 15 years.  She has trained and completed several sprint distance triathlons and is dedicated to improving her personal best for future competitions.  Sonja has been on the HealthQuest fitness team since 1996 as a personal trainer and fitness instructor.  As one of HealthQuest’s master level personal trainers, Sonja has worked with a variety of clients ranging from teens to seniors.  Her scope of knowledge includes area of weight loss, sports conditioning, strength training, post-rehab and general conditioning.  As one of HealthQuest’s fitness instructors, Sonja also teaches spin classes several times a week.  In addition to her training and teaching, Sonja also is the activities trainer for the Sheriff’s Activities League working with young people from 12-18 years old.  Working with these young teens gives her an opportunity to make a positive difference in their lives that will motivate and inspire them to adopt an active and fit lifestyle.  Numerous HealthQuest members have also benefited from Sonja’s training skills, depth of knowledge and motivation.

Sonja has a B.S. degree in Exercise Science from Sonoma State University.  She is certified by the American Council on Exercise as a personal trainer and also  holds a certification as a Spin instructor.

 

Emilie

EMILIE WYRICK

Master Trainer

Emilie found her passion for fitness in college, after years of struggling with her weight. She became an avid swimmer and trail runner throughout college while obtaining her B.S. in Biology. In her mid-twenties, she underwent a major hip operation to correct a congenital hip defect. Although this surgery set her back, she was determined to not use it as an excuse to slide back to her days of being overweight and unfit. She worked hard torecover, and was able to achieve a normal range of motion in time to work her first harvest in the wine industry.

After a few years, Emilie decided that she wanted to share her passion for movement and fitness, and became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. She loves to help her clients find that special movement, sport or discipline that gets them excited to move and helps them to achieve their fitness and life goals. She enjoys including high-intensity workouts into her sessions, as well as focusing on form and function in both bodyweight movements and weightlifting. A self-described lifelong learner, Emilie continues to learn as much as she can about the body and movement, and has obtained certifications as a Student Foundation Training Instructor, CrossFit Level I Trainer, and CrossFit Kids Trainer as well as having attended courses on gymnastics and mobility.

Emilie enjoys any sport that takes her into the great outdoors, including Triathlons, Stand-Up Paddleboarding, Kayaking, Cycling, Swimming and Snowboarding.
